Signal levels were sig. lower on my Tuner 2 compared to 1. Removed the BBC and the levels were fine. Ordered 2 new BBCs and same problem. Switched the cables and problem stays with 2.

BBC = "B-Band Converter". It's the black or gray module connected to the back of your DVR, between the DVR and the incoming satellite cable.

What Satellite are you looking at?

Mine is the 101. Tuner 1 is all in the 80s & 90s. Tuner 2 is in the 50s and 60s.

I've swapped BBCs, no luck. I've swapped cables in, no luck.

I'm guessing you have a bad tuner 2 like I have. Do you have the protection plan? If not, I'd suggest you call and add it. Then, put up with your box for a few weeks and then call back and try to get started on getting a replacement box.

I just ordered the prot plan, so I'm waiting for another few weeks b4 I call them up and ask for a new box.

I am still within my 90 install warranty I havent had a problem yet so i may just deal with it. I dont want to lose my black box!

are you still getting a picture on tuner #2?

yeh, no difference yet there. the numbers are fine without the BBC but 4 BBC's all produce the same problem on 2
