Sorry if this has been discussed already and I missed it. A tech at D* told me that the bbc's should be hooked because they have something to do with upconverting the signal on my local MPEG4 HD channels. Is this correct or even close? I thought everything that I read said that they are for future use and they could be disconnected. I took mine off becuase I was trying to see if I had less lockups without them. Just as many lockups with as without. Thx.

They serve NO PURPOSE at this time! They will however be needed in the "future"!

I'm leaving mine hooked up now. Someday(1-10 years from now) when I need them I won't have to rip the house apart saying - Where did I put those darn things.
