I must have read Earl's post about that the wrong way. I thought that it would always reserve the same amount of space for D* junk but it would let you have the rest for recording.

Oh well, like the article suggests, you can always use it for a file server :grin:

No, you didn't read it wrong.

It will always reserve the same amount of stuff for DirecTV "stuff".
So if you had 300gb on there or 2tb on there, the DirecTV "reserved" would be the same.

The problem right now is that there is a bug that the HR20 is not recognizing the full space available on the eSATA device.

I have been told that we may see this corrected in the next update...
