Black HR20s?

Yes, the HR20-700B is just the same as the HR20-700S

Same cost, Same Software, Same hardware underneath.

And it also the same "leasing" procedures as does the HR20-700s

As of right now, there is no ETA on when it will be available.

You will also see this unit in DirecTV's latest commercials.

I will upgrade to HD next year. But I will wait for that slick little thing!

Thats damn Hot!!! If I got that my rack would be back to all black. The HR10 stands out like a sore thumb.

Well, don't hold your breath for a gloss black HR20. DTV has put the silver one back on the HR20 page. Just noticed that when I paid my bill.

I e-mailed Directv and ask them if the black one is coming out and someone called on the phone and left a message saying that yes they are coming out with black. The only problem is they cant garantee black because the silver ones need to go first. If anyone gets a black one, let us know.

Mine turned blue from the language I've used during lockups, missed recordings, BSOD, etc...

I actually like the silver. The black looks good, but it wouldn't match any of my other components, which are all silver. (Except for the PS2 and Wii of course.) Are they switching to black only, or in the future will people have a choice? Sounds like they are switching to black only. Glad my silver one (knock on wood) works pretty well.

I like the silver also, although mine is behind a frosted door and not very visible.

The Black HR20 is real... and it will be comming. However, there is no set date. It was remove from the website, as it has just caused a "commotion" and a lot of people calling to "trade".

look at the interactive demo button, it is still black there.

Well maybe by March when I am "allowed" to upgrade for the fourth time by D* they will be out of the silver

Oh snap! Now that's a sharp looking receiver. They should have black and silver for all models. What's wrong with these folks?

I have a Sammy HL-S6187 with the stand and all...man does my H20 reciever throw everything out of wack. It's the only silver thing there. Good call by D*!

I called Directv and they mentioned that the black HR20s had been shipped out to places like Best Buy and Circuit City, both BB and CC don't have any in stock (called their 800 numbers). Anyone lucky enough to nab one from either directv or elsewhere?

As far as I know... the Black HR20's are still not available to the market yet.
