I was so up on getting our new receivers (612 and 211) and then changing our programming for more HD I "planned" on watching tonight but nooooooo.....
Thanks to that darn low in the SE 129 Sat.! When the installer showed up the first thing he did was look at our trees in the front. I said what's up and he said," well I don't think it's going to clear". He got up on the roof where the other Dish is and he was right, not going to clear. I had no idea 129 was that low.
The good news is we already had a tree service to come out and out of the three large trees the one they're cutting down is the one in the way due to dry rot. I guess there are "Dish Angels" after all. So we're going to wait for two more weeks before getting HD.
That's what the installer told me that the HD is at 129. He climbed up on the roof and used that "finder" right where our current Dish is. It clears the top of the trees but he said 129 was a bit lower and if about 10' of the tree was gone I'd be ok.
Just how far over is 129 from 110 an 119? He also said you need a good 5 degrees clearance around the sat.
When I got my 211K and the 1000-2 dish the installer also the pointed the dish at 129. I asked him why the dish had the skewed slant to it and he told me that was to get the 129 bird since it was lower in the western sky. I let him take the old 500 but maybe I should have kept it in case my locals (ony the Lord know when) show up on 61.5.
