I read somewhere an interesting stat: When the Eagles play the Texans this Sunday, kick return specialist Brian Mitchell will become the only player to have played all 32 NFL teams.

(I initally saw this somewhere online, but I just confirmed it in the Eagles press pack for the game.)

I'm guessing that would also mean he has gained yardage against every NFL team, too, right?

Wonder if he played against both the old Browns and the new ones, or the Oilers and the Titans. Hmm.

With 99 kickoff return yards and 43 punt return yards versus Dallas
on Sunday, KR Brian Mitchell continued his climb into the NFL
record books. This week, when Mitchell faces the Texans, he will
become the first player to have played against all 32 NFL teams.
Already the league's all-time leader in kickoff returns (517) & yards
(11,956) and punt returns (394) & yards (4,407), Mitchell ranks third
all-time in combined net yards with 20,622 (1,947 rushing, 2,298
receiving, 4,407 PR, 11,956 KORs, and 14 fumble return) behind only
Walter Payton (21,803) and Jerry Rice (21,136). Emmitt Smith trails
by 1,287 yards (19,335).
Mitchell has now played in 179 straight regular season games and
another 14 playoff games. He has missed just one game in his NFL
career, @ Ind. on 12/22/90, as the Redskins prepared for a playoff
run.
