Does anyone have an extra bubble level for the dish they could toss in the mail to me?

You are better off getting a small magnetic level at Home Depot for a few bucks. Will be more accurate and can be used to ensure the mast and mount are level as well.

i know but i would rather have the perm solution in the mast. want sure if some installers here had some lying around

The thing is, if the mast isn't cut perfectly square(and they often aren't),that bubble level is a waste of time
Like the other person said, a small torpedo level is the most accurate.

Ditto, you are putting a great amount of faith into the end cut of a pipe. And even after you set the dish on it, the weight will have a slight effect. Best to use a torpedo or any short level to plumb the mast roughly, then fine tune it after the dish is set.

Sonofa*****! Who gave tools to women & children. The floor was flat enough for us before we had that damn dish on the roof. I'm calling them! Show my woman and child the house I built ain't flat. Grrrrrrrr! I hope I can get the same installer next time.

Not only are you putting faith in the mast being square, but the plastic warps too, most times it won't sit flush in the mast anyways.

I agree with these guys... bubble smubble. When I have to move it for some reason I usually sling up the ODU by eye and then use the ku signal meters for a final tweak. Works every time that way and I'm back to Judge Judy in minutes.
