Lockport is good on Channel 634

The Sabres games are usually on 1 of the now 3 MSG overflow channels which are 636, 637 and 638 (the home HD games will be on the -1 version of one of these channels). I'm not sure yet which of these will be the Sabres channel.

In my guide, Canadiens @ Sabres shows up on channel 638. I don't see a -1 version of this channel. Does anyone know what channel will be showing the Buffalo HD feed?

Are the pre and post game shows in HD? I'll be at the game (Section 116 row 3, yeah baby) and want to record everything, this will be my first Sabres HD game on MSG as Time Warner added MSG after the final home game of last season.

The game only channels, the -1s, may not show up in the guide until a few hours before gametime. That's just the way they work.

Yes they were last year - that is when D* didn't cut off the feed as soon as the final horn sounded. Not sure how that is handled on TWC though.

I won't worry about it until I get home from work Friday and the game isn't on in HD. This is the same with the grayed out center ice channels. As long as they are turned on in time, it is no big deal.

I know someone else who certainly hopes that the games is on in HD.

A friend in New York is a Sabres fan and he convinced 4 of his friends to drop cable and switch to Directv because the home games were in HD.

I hope he didn't steer his friends wrong.

Still not there. I won't be home Friday night, so it sure would be nice if it showed up by Thursday (the day before the game). Otherwise, kinda renders the whole DVR thing pointless.

I see in the guide the game is on CI channel 777 for Friday, but 777-1 is currently earmarked for a different game. I sure hope we don't have to suffer through the growing pains again to get MSG HD for Sabres games.

It should show up tomorrow in the guide. I know the territory of the Sabres has changed slightly as well, so there are a few zip codes that had it last year that won't get it this year. I don't know which ones those are, my apologies.

same thing last year. only home games are in hd. IT is not a directv thing either. They dont have the equipment yet (or so they claim). Also i heard not to expect it this year either. At leastwe got the home games better than nothing. BTW i still dont have the hd listing for tonights game on my guide
