If I buy Dish online, is this a leasing or do I own the equipment ?

If you are at a DISH website, you can't "buy Dish online". Through DISH, it is a lease. There are websites where you COULD "buy Dish online", but almost all offers will be to LEASE the equipment. Even if you pay $199 for a ViP 622 receiver, it is pretty clearly identified as an equipment lease upgrade.
