I dont want streaming cause i have a DVR and I can pause/replay/record. Why would I want to mess with streaming? I hope they dont make this streaming only because this is really the only reason I keep Directv at all. (Sunday Ticket and Hockey package). If you are going to make me learn to stream crap, then I am just moving on. My parents are old and can barely run the TV remote. I am not going to try to teach them how to stream. Just not worth it.

The NFL copy of this is completely worthless. It will be sad if they dont continue this with Andrew as the host.
I doesn’t matter what you or we want, DirecTV didn’t even negotiate to extend after this season so it’s done- time to stick a fork in it and relish/enjoy the last year of this while you have it with your setup. All good things come to an end.

And no one else is talking about Andrew Siciliano doing his weekly masterful performance on RedZone with DirecTV like you brought up. I’ve been thinking that for months now. When I didn’t sub to NFLST for one year like 5 years ago, I did the NFL version of RedZone. Hated it and stopped paying the monthly fee on my NFL App. Other years when I didn’t get discounts on ST, I was able to get DirecTV standalone RedZone for free, but that was few and far between.

Maybe Siciliano takes over the NFL version of RedZone after this year, since he’s already part of NFL Network Programming?

And don’t let some of the others get to you here. They push DStream because it is actually good, but they still have DSat too for certain reasons.

(Sorry compnurd, no offense. 😀)

I guess you don't look at your satellite bill. The price of everything goes up. Including DIRECTV satellite service. Every year. Package price and RSN fee. Every. Single. Year.
That’s usually always the case as my tier went up this year like most subs, but my RSN actually went DOWN this year for the first time ever where I’m at. My loyalty credits also increased to offset programming increases.

Overall, most any service is increasing prices or cutting/downgrading services.

I tried watching it on my Sony TV and it would appear that Amazon was swamped. I came back later and Amazon had trouble loading its interface.

I suppose it is good that they find this stuff out now.
Or it could be your DOCSIS 3.x modem/router causing the issue. 😆

(sorry I went there…)

It’s probably better they don’t announce it now (or didn’t the last couple months). There’d be a million people flooding Apple CSR’s wondering why it’s not showing up for the 2022 season. The general public can easily get confused on small but important details.

Not the point I was trying to make, but AT&T = DIrecTV up until this year (at least since they bought them), but whatever. The fact is, people who EXPECT the company to give them a $300 item for free every year is probably expecting too much.
I never EXPECT anything for free (maybe I’m only one of the few here), but for the last 3 years I got it because my account qualified for it at zero cost. Whether it was automatic or just asking a CSR if my account qualified, I saved $416 each of the last 3 years. Prior to that, they usually offered multiple 12 month credits to offset most if not all the cost of STMax for me. I can’t complain, and didn’t get greedy.

No. Sophomore is a level of education where inclusive exclusive is an oxymoron.
Lol….it was drilled into our heads in my ‘second year of high school’. Continue researching like James pointed out.

While you’re doing that, I’m enjoying the last year of ST Max on my DirecTV Sat subscription. If it goes to Apple, then I’ll have to buy some more AppleTV boxes for the 6 TV’s in my basement SportsBar/theater.

I really doubt two simultaneous streams would be a problem. It would be the guys who set up a sports bar in their basement with a half dozen TVs who might have an issue.

Though really what they care about isn't how many simultaneous streams you have but whether all those streams are coming from the same IP address. As long as that's the case, you're probably fine. What they would likely limit is streams from different IPs, so you can't give your brother your Apple TV+ credentials and stream games at his house while you're watching at yours.

That's the type of account sharing that streamers in general are looking to crack down on, since the "easy" growth in streaming is or soon will be a thing of the past (already is for Netflix and Amazon Prime)
That’s the boat I’m in, with the multiple TV’s in my basement SportsCave. I would think that having the same IP address- they should be fine with. Although when we host, it’s not ST on every TV. There’s usually other sports happening to fill the rest of the screens.

I’ll just have to figure it out with whoever gets the deal, and re-work my infrastructure based on whatever terms are set.

Trying to remember the "Scud Studs" name from the Gulf war.
Saw him literally dive off a platform to the ground and run like hell from an incoming Scud missile.
Think his first name was Arthur and maybe an NBC reporter?
Yes- Arthur Kent. I remember those days well!
