watching the game on Prime.. very poor picture quality.. if this is what Amazon calls what they are doing as "live and current.." they better stay out of the live tv sports betting industry( I don not bet) .. the quality is bad.. picture went out many times during pre game.. not hd quality..
Well there hasn’t been any issues with Amazon. I watched the entire pregame and the game which has 1:58 to go and I have had a stellar crisp clear picture the whole time. Haven’t lost the feed once. Must be your provider having issues.

In Vegas with 1 mg down, and the video was flawless.
Extremely sharp picture and not a single glitch or buffer.

Curious to see their numbers tomorrow, as for the first time, Nielsen is rating the viewership.

My internet not nearly as good as yours. I have T-Mobile 5G Internet and I usually get around 250-300 down and about 40 up. During the game tonight I checked a few times and it was down to around 180/25 so still plenty good for the game.

No DIRECTV "assembly" required for the streaming of TNF, London games, etc. via other services (the games joshjr specifies in another thread).
No DIRECTV "assembly" required for Sunday Ticket. Receive a channel for rebroadcast and uplink it to their customers.
James is right, I was not referring to any games on DirecTV. More the Thursday and London games. It didnt matter if it was Yahoo or anyone else in the past. It didnt work well no matter who it was if you were forced to stream the game.

Twitter is already buzzing with people writing in saying they don’t have Prime, don’t stream, they have cable and not streaming. The complaints have already started and the first game hasn’t even been played yet. Go take a look for yourself. Some are saying they won’t watch the NFL at all now.
Who cares? Honestly, if you think that's going to enter into it, you're wrong. I remember, back in the day, all of the NFL games were in the clear on c / ku band. When Sunday Ticket became a thing, all the NFL did was send out form letters to anyone that complained...and guess what, that's all anyone complaining about moving to streaming will get you.

If you want it, pay for it, if you don't, oh well.

Then that was a bad business decision for DirecTV’s, especially since they have lost 10-11 million subscribers since they signed the last deal with the NFL.
If they had given less freebies, the losses perhaps would have been higher. I'd imagine they even saved quite a few subscriptions that would have otherwise dropped DIRECTV that typically wouldn't have subbed to NFLST.

YOU HAVE IT.. give me what I paid for.. and don't say well its this or that .. and don't show that you are drinking the Kool aide.. by justifying the poor quality.. I PAID YOU.. CASH.. give me the quality that i expect.. and I thought that DIRECTV was supposed to show the Thursday night games.. that was the agreement.. Where was my game on DIRECTV.. ? again I am paying for both.. cash.. my bills with you are paid.. give me what you say that you will. its like paying for a 15 gallons of gas and only getting 12.. No service can guarantee no commercials as they are literally built into the game to a large extent. They even have a designated game official for them (the red hat). You may not see the local insert commercials but the regional ones are not something you can section out in real time.

Where did Amazon ever claim the game would be commercial free? Answer is they didn't. Are the games commercial free on any other service? Answer is no.

DIRECTV is allowed to show the Thursday night games in the local area of the two teams that are playing. Either FOX or CBS local station I believe. For example it was shown on thelocal FOX affiliate in LA and KC last night. And DIRECTV is also allowed to show the Thursday night games commercially. Not residential.

Also the quality last night was great for me.

For the past "twelve" years you have complained about your service providers yet you stay with them. You might want to consider using an OTA antenna for your TV service. It's free and should give you a lot less to complain about.

Boo hoo. And how many years have people been upset that they don't have Sat and they can't watch the games? I guess you wouldn't know since you are fortunate to have DirecTV. Fact of life, people are going to complain about something that inconveniences them. You can't make EVERYBODY happy.

You mean the losses would of been worse then 10-11 million lost if they did not give away ST.

That means they will get smacked hard next year with losses since they have been giving it away this season.

Nothing to offer those folks wanting to leave, except offering to lower the bill, which creates other issues.

It will be interesting to see the numbers of people who would be willing to pay $300 to stream NFL Games. It would probably be the most expensive package so far.
Oh, like they do now for ST? How is it different? Or are people just used to DirecTV being nice to them and giving them ST as a freebie? In all the years I've had DirecTV (for most of the last 20 years), I've gotten it for free, maybe 3-4 seasons. Otherwise I'd have to pony up $300, same as you are complaining about here.

I already explained to him that Prime Subscribers out number those who pay for Live TV by 10 million more, he choose to ignore that logic.

Many people were able to get the package free over the years. The new deal won’t come with being able to offer it free or discounted.
Question...if those deals on DirecTV were no longer free, would they pay for the service? DirecTV is being nice by giving it away (at a loss to them), but nobody says they have to or should. People should expect it for free every year? C'mon man! Like I said, I got it for free for a few years, but most of the time I had to pay, and didn't bother.

You pay for Sat and/or cable too, right? I am positive you see commercials there too. As I've said, commercials will eventually be the rule not the exception on streamers anyway. Ad revenue is not something these companies are going to give up. I don't like it, but I see it happening.

As AT&T agreed to cover a large portion of the cost of NFLST as part of the joint venture agreement, it is actually AT&T that is taking most of the hit rather than generosity on DIRECTV's part.

I have great internet in my house and my wifi is amazing but I believe a big part of that is my mesh router. I have an ORBI but there are other good one as well if you have speeds above 300mb down and couldn't stream last nights game virtually flawlessly I think you should look into mesh routers. I watched on my 75 inch 4K TV and couldn't have enjoyed it more picture quality was as good as HD gets and what a game! BTW I have been a DirecTV sub and Sunday ticket (and Extra innings and Center Ice) sub every year since 1996 and I will have all of those packages next year whether or not I still have DirecTV, but I am in a great position to stream games next season because instead of complaining about streaming issues at my home I have done something about it. I suggest if you would like a better experience do the same. Also this has been one of the MOST annoying threads ever on this website and because I fear I may miss actual news I have to keep reading it.
