LOS ANGELES (AP) - Time Warner Cable will start letting some of its customers pause live television and digitally record programs through a new set-top box that is similar to those sold by TiVo ( news - web sites) and ReplayTV ( news - web sites).
The nation's second-largest cable company said Wednesday it will offer the cable set-top boxes with digital video recorders by the end of summer in some markets. Time Warner said it is not yet sure where the service will be offered or at what price.
Looks like this offering will be "limited" to certain areas. I wonder what the price will be ($$$$)....I see they would not even think about offering this were it not from DBS competition. Nice try, TW; I give them a "B" for effort.
