I sent back a 622 that would freeze up and reboot. I received another one and it froze up 24 hours later. I disabled the caller ID function and ran for a week with NO reboots. I enabled caller ID and had 2 random reboots within 24 hours. This does not happen everytime the phone rings. I also have 2 dsl filters in series with phone line; No help there. I guess the caller ID 'COMMAND" from my phone line screws up the software in 622. I leave the phone line hooked up ,just caller ID disabled on 622 setup. Is caller ID command digital or analog? Any suggestions for filtering this signal? I have never had phone trouble before with any dish receiver but this is first unit to have a caller ID function. Not a big deal but would like to resolve issue. :)
Thanks

I thought this happened only when you were tuned to channel 008-00. Does it reboot when tuned to other channels as well now? Please read and respond to the private message I sent you a couple of weeks ago about this.
I never received a private message
Anyway, It has happened on others channels than 008-00 even though 10 out of 13 times it has been on 008-00. With the caller ID disabled it never has "rebooted" itself. This is a very confusing problem but I am confident it has to do with the caller ID enabled on 622. I only watch channel 008-00 for the local news and football games which is not much considering how much TV I watch. Anyway, I am not trying to confuse anyone but I am certain after troubleshooting that caller ID enabled is culprit. Watchdog counter #3 is showing 3. I know this counter keeps a record of "false" REBOOTS. tHANKS

I appreciate all the help. I have no problem with waiting for next download; This is a easy work around. I will just leave the caller ID disabled for the time being.
I am a Electronic Technician by trade but its from a Plant enviroment. I understand ethernet, fiber optics, analog and digital processing but I am out of the loop with smaller electronic hardware and software. I am also 49 years old. Anyway thanks a million and I love my HD. My HDMI has been no trouble so far; I do have a homemade strain relief mechanism where my HDMI cable enters the 622. Anyway thanks a million
