When you call NAS, you can speak to Igor, Boris or Ivan, and it won't matter which one because you won't understand any of them.

On the other hand, when you call EmitorB, the company that makes SatLook, you can speak to Hans, Lars or Sven. You won't understand what they are saying, either, but it's cooler than talking to Boris Badenov and Fearless Leader.
hell, I never got 'em to answer the phone plus the e-mail addy for "sales" comes back not found....I told Abram this was a problem three years ago.
I spoke to two of them last week, when I inquired about the 9501 diplexer. One of them said, "vacation". That was the only word I understood. It was in an answer to my question regarding why NACE had the part listed as being on back order.

No one who I get to talk to at NACE is familiar with any of the product lines I buy from them, including NAS. The last person I spoke to at NACE didn't even know what QAM and 8VSB were. Have you called PDI? Even though they have turned over some sales and technical personnel, the last time I called them, whomever I talked to was familiar with the NAS products.
I'm on the "bad boy" list at PDI. :( ( :D )
What parts are you looking for??

hey doc j, some lmx 2's and 42's would be nice, a few of the single tuner subscriber units would help out. I bought some at Pace today but if you have any you can get rid of cheap...cool.
I was going to say that pace was probably the cheapest.

This is a new source i just found. Don't know anything about them but prices not too bad.

I still am using my MFH-1 system for some TIVO units but will probable shut the MFH-1 system down when MPEG-2 HD's are turned off.
Its a bummer that the units get burned out . Has to be a design flaw in the original wiring. I don't have very long runns but don't use power on the subscriber units, blocking voltage back from them has to help.

good luck.

your subscriber units get power from the receiver or they won't work, I'm gonna block power from the sub unit, back, to the lmx2 outputs, the lmx 2 can get power from the trunkline so it should all work.
The subscriber units have 20 v power inputs "for long runs from master unit". I don't use those was what i was trying to say. I agree they get power from the receivers.

Doctor j
ok, I blocked the power from the rx to the output of the lmx-2, it worked fine.

When calling NACE ask for Andrew Ozer. He knows what is going on, I give him a constant run for his money and he pulls mthrough every time.

My guy at NACE is Stuart Lindsay. He is very knowledgeable and has came through for me many times.
