I have 2 HR DVRs in my Living Room. I run one with a remote in IR mode and one with a remote in RF mode. They don't interfere with each other in the slightest.

Same here. I recently had to change remotes and now have to run two IR's. I have one set up to run on the Directv mode, and the other one set up to run on AV1.
I liked having two remotes seperately before, but this way seems to be working out fine.
I have 2 HR20-100s (one on top of the other) both running IR since I use one universal remote (MX-850) to run everything (DVRs, plasma TV, appletv, DVD, sound processor, etc). There is info on this if you search but if I remember correctly the first code is 00001 and the second 00003 for the HR20-100. The link mentioned above was helpful but also see:

see this for HR20 codes:

Thank you very much for the information.
I have 3 hr20-700's in the same room all remotes are set to rf and have never had a problem with the remotes.
I had 2 DVRs both on RF command no problem. Now 1 IR and 1RF no problem you just have 1 on DirecTV sign and the 2nd AV1.:)
