All I can tell you is that I too just received a HR21 gratis and am about to activate now. When I called three days ago to get the 2 BBC's I asked about getting the AM21 an he told me it woulldn't allow him to do it because I did not yet have the HR21 on my account. He said after I activate it to call back and he would put it in the notes on my account that I am to recieve it at no charge. We will see Monday when I call them.SParker said:

I got a free HR21 last week and not to be greedy but I thought I remember seeing that people could get a free AM-21. Is that still the case or are they $50 now?

K, I just called and the lady never ordered one of these before. She initially thought it was going to be $50 but she figured it out and shipped one out for free. Will ship Monday. I might not even need it but I sure feel better knowing I can record via OTA too.
I got mine for free after explaining I was losing capabilities by their replacing my HR20-700 with a HR21-200. YMMV.
