You shouldn't need any satellite connection to simply view previously recorded stuff. Unless you're planning to activate it on your DirecTV account, you probably don't want to connect a satellite cable.richierich said:So if I have an HR10-250 and I just hook up a satellite cable to it will it automatically detect it and allow you to view your previously archived recordings on it???
Or do I have to Reset the DVR???
