Can I save marital bliss and have two remotes with one 722? I have two TVs hooked to the 722. Can I have two remotes active at the same time with a 722? That is two remotes for the same TV and a different remote for TV2.

It's supposed to come with 2 remotes - 1 IR (TV1) and one UHF (TV2). You can purchase additional UHF remotes and use them with the 722 on TV1 as well.

yes, It came with two remotes. What I want is one remote in another room (TV2) and two remotes being used as TV1 in the main room. From your message I assume this is possible. Sort of like his and her remotes.
yes, you can. if i'm reading right you want a second remote for tv1? If so, call Dish Network and order a new remote (19.99 + 5.95 S&H). when you get it, address it to the same address as your current tv1 remote and make sure the chip at the bottom looks the same as wthe one you have now (green with a green number "1" and no writing next to it), and voila!!! if you need help addressing the remote, let us know once you get the new remote and can help.
Are you sure this is possible? Dish tech support tells me it can't be done.

A little more details - I am trying to setup two remotes with a VIP722. I can get one to work at a time on the primary but not both at the same time. When I go into the menu - system setup - installation - system info Under I see see IR Rem address 1 TV ch out off I can change the rem address to 2 and the other remote will work but not the original.

Both remotes have the green 1 with no writing on the bottom in the remote. I can only get 1 remote working at a time. Is it possible to get both remotes working at the same time?

Thanks for any assistance.
We KNOW it's possible. But you have to follow the directions on the remotes and what we tell you here.
You need to change the address of the remotes to be the same value. Push and hold Sat button until the other lights come on, press the address you want that remote to be, then #. Which ever remote is currently working to display the Sys Info screen (I'll pretend addr 2 is active), change the other remote that is a 1 to be 2 as above. Then they will both operate TV1.
