To get the benefits of my new dvr 722, I need access to three sat's in orbit. My 500 only gets two of them. I think that means I need a new 1000. Will a local installer just sell me the dish 1000 and install it for me (for the cost of labor and the dish of course) or must I do something else? I can also purchase one off the web I suppose and have it installed for me. Thanks.

It is possible to add a single dish to your existing dish to get you 129. Easiest way to do this or replace your dish would be to go through a local retailer. Dish would sell and arrange install. Buying it elsewhere or online will probably not get you the install.

For the neatest, easiest one-dish solution, you want a 1000.2 dish. It has a built-in multswitch in the one-piece LNB pack and supports 3 single- or dual-tuner receivers without adding an additional switch.

You can find them on EBay, but you will have to find someone to install it. If you know a local place the installer may do it for you, of course you'll have to pay.
