If I cancel D*, will I still be able to watch my recorded shows on my HR10-250? I have about 20 hours worth of shows I'd like to record onto DVDs.
Thank you!

Dug around a little deeper and was able to find posts that answered my question. To recap it seems that you can disconnect the satellite connection to the box to prevent the deactivation signal from reaching the box, and it should still function for several (exact number unknown) days until it automatically deactivates itself.cornflakes said:If I cancel D*, will I still be able to watch my recorded shows on my HR10-250? Thanks!! That's even better!!crendall said:After upgrading from the SD Tivo to the HD Tivo, I connected the SD Tivo to an older TV so I could finish watching shows I recorded on it. It hasn't been activated in over 6 months and I'm still able to watch what is recorded on the Tivo.
A bit late, but I'll say that not only can you save the shows to DVD (or watch in HD), the HR10-250 actually works BETTER without all the guide data to slow it down. Deleting shows and scrolling through the What's Playing list are much faster.cornflakes said:If I cancel D*, will I still be able to watch my recorded shows on my HR10-250?
