Since the new receivers (H20,HR20,D11) use most/all of the same remote codes and I have my very old Stand Alone Series 1 connected to the D11, I believe you would be able to connect a H20 with your SAS1 TiVo. You'll need the IR blasters to make this work.
Using a Stand Alone Series 1 TiVo with a HR20 isn't ideal and may be more frustrating than it's worth. It just isn't a good idea to try to drive one DVR off of another. So it wouldn't be a good idea to try to connect these two devices if you're going to try to depend on season passes on your TiVo.
