Can Watch but Not Record MLB EI

I am watching the Tiger-Oriole game on 724-1, but when I hit the Record button I get "Your receiver is not authorized to record this program." notice and it won't record. Thursday and Fridays games were recorded, but not today? Is anyone else having this problem?

Hmm...I have the same issue on ALL the MLB: EI channels. But I can record my local Twins game on FSN-North...

Is this something new, or can MLB: EI subscribers shed some light on this: has it been like this all season for MLB: EI channels?

I'm not an EI subscriber, but I too would like to know if this is a case of the HR2x software possibly honoring a "do not record" flag embedded in these broadcasts by MLB.

If so, I'd be really ticked-off, because it seems to me the attraction of the EI package is for a fan to record games s/he is interested in, and to quickly fast forward through them to compress the time it takes to watch a typical game.

Just my .02. /steve

No, it hasn't. The problem cropped up for some folks with hockey games on Center Ice this past season -- it appeared to be a bug that didn't affect everyone. And this seems to be the same; I am having no problems recording baseball games (SD or HD) on either the RSN channels or the EI channels in the 700s.
I've had no trouble recording on the EI channels, even through last night's game. I have, however, run into circumstances where my DVR would not record at all or would not play recorded programs. Usually this was resolved with a simple reboot. You might try that.
I'm in the same boat. I can't get EI channels to record on my R15, either. Did 2 reboots, including a red button reset. Channels are still gredyed out. I can watch 'em, can't record 'em.Thank goodness my DTivo can still record 'em.

While I can't comment on MLB EI, since I don't subscribe, Bwaldron is correct that the problem showed up on NHL CI. I had it! No one at D* had any idea what was going on. They said that if I was able to watch, there was no reason I shouldn't be able to record. Of course they "Bumped it up to tier 2 support" and told me I'd get a call back, but I never heard from them.

In my case I was running a CE software version. I went back to the NR and things seemed to go back to normal. It didn't occur again for me for the rest of the season (but I was very careful to monitor things).

So, if you're on a CE, you might think about going back to the NR software and see what happens.

I just got this today for the first time. I am in Denver, watching the Yankees vs Angels on channel 399 for some reason. I was able to record the PGA Championship on my local channel, so I am not dead, but I will be mad if this keeps up. Any of you that have had the problem, did it get resolved, go away, or still occur?
