Recorded Tigers-A's Saturday. At least I thought I did. Checked the TDL before I left the house. Resturned and saw it not listed in the MY VOD section. So I went to History. It says there the game WAS recorded. Checked VOD again. Not there. Went back to History, selected the entry that said it recorded and --- wait for it ---

...it gave me the option of playing it out of the History menu.

It was there, and I played it, but it was never listed in the MY VOD section. Moral: if you don't think it recorded, check the History section, all may not be lost. It might be there.

Please, someone, explain.

Sure... one internal database table updated, while the other didn't.

You may have just found a work around, for when items don't appear on the MyVod.

Lots of views, but no answers? Anybody had this happen before?
Poor coding & testing in conjunction with a lack of filesystem journaling. I've worked at a transaction level in software with rollback work and commit work forever. The more complex a DVR is, the more it requires sophisticated coding and procedures.

But your info is good. Now if someone in development could figure out how this happens.....and then fix it.
