I would like to know if it is possible to add another receiver for a second tv in the living room without running any new wires from the multiswitch. I have a 5LNB dish, 2 HR21 receivers, 1 h21 receiver and 1 sd receiver. There are currenly 2 cables run in my living room for the HR21 and running another cable would be a pain.

If you have a separate cable for your OTA you could also sacrifice it instead, but I think you would have mentioned that.

What about upgrading/replacing the multiswitch with a SWM8?

I've only got a single coax run coming upstairs in my house and I wanted to be able to run two boxes there. I installed a SWM8 and put a SWS2 splitter at the end of the coax - now I've got an H20 and HR21Pro (3 tuners total) running essentially off of one wire - no problem.

You can if your willing to spend about $300 on a SWM-8 (single wire multiswitch) to replace your WB68 multiswitch.

If so, you'd only need one wire starting at the multiswitch and going into a regular high frequency splitter, then plug all your existing cables into that splitter ... then move the second wire (which becomes obsolete) from the back of the hr21 to the new receiver.

P.S. - There's a little more to it than this (like how you handle the non-hd receiver), but that's the basic jist of it. If you decide to get a SWM8 and need help installing --- read the manual and most importantly --- ASK QUESTIONS BEFOREHAND, NOT AFTER YOU TRY IT!!!
