Then connect the SW21 to a Dish Pro Plus DPP Separator. Then connect the Dish Pro Plus DPP Separator to the Dish Network 625 DVR Receiver.
Would this set-up give me more signal strength then using one Dish Network Dish 500 with a Dish Pro Plus dual output Lnb. And help reduce Rain fade.
With the Dish Network Dish 500 I have a tree slightly blocking 119 giving me a low signal.
Thanks,
So what your saying is, Connect 2 cables to the legacy Dual LNB Dish 300 (pointing at 119) then connect 1 cable to a SW21 and the other cable to a 2ndBobaBird said:You can use the SW21, but as scooper said, not the Separator with it (see http://www.dishuser.org/dishpro.php). Assuming your Dish 300s have legacy Dual LNBs on them, you would need to have another SW21 and run 2 lines to the 625.
If they're actually DishPro LNBs (dp logo), get either a DP34 and run 2 lines, or a DPP33 and use 1 line with the Separator.
Is there any 24 /30 inch dishes with lnbs that would work with the Dish Network 625 DVR Receiver.scooper said:Your hookup description is accurrate as long as you are talking about 2 Legacy Dual LNBs (non-Dishpro / DishProPlus).
As far as improving signal / rain fade resistance - not really, unless you are putting in 24 /30 inch dishes. One GOOD reason for using a separate dish for each slot could be trees / sightlines.
The problem wasn't the use of the sw switch, it was trying to use it with Dish Pro Plus equipment, that will not work. Also note this thread is over two years old.cen50812 said:I just used a sw-21 and connected each side to one outlet of each dp dual lnb (one from 119 and one from 110). I used a different sw-21 to the other lnb outlet. I ran them to either side of the 625 and immediately had 'dish 500' with odd and even 119 and 110. That was on Friday night and have been 'hooked on National Geographic' ever since. worked for me
