Can't dim panel lights??

742 Views 7 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  oldguy1
My first post!!
I just finished upgrading to the HR20-700!
I tried to dim the lighting on the front of the HR20 by using the left arrow key next to the orange select button. The only thing that happens is that the power button light starts to flash. The same thing happens when press and hold the right button.
On a positive note, I successfuly recorded a movie last night.
Thanks for your help.

Press and hold the left and right buttons on the eye... hit them 4 times and the eye goes out completely. As most of us know, this adds security as well since D* can't see you then.

Ah, so to order free movies, darken the eye. :)
Slyster, thanks, that worked great. I feel much more secure now.
Now if I could get the power and record lights turned down.

A perfectly cut piece of black tape with a pin hole in the center works wonders.;)

Those bright lights are there for a purpose: helps you keep from breaking your neck on the way to pee at night by acting as a night light.
