I use the Maxtor 750gig One Touch drive without any problems. Did you also power down/up the disk drive?
The Maxtor 750 GB One Touch as ChukA (above( is using.Ron Barry said:Hmmm something is not right here. When you move a show form the internal hard drive to your EHD the program should be deleted. IF this is not happening something is not right.
What type of drive are you using?
I'm not use if I did. I'll give it a try.ChuckA said:I use the Maxtor 750gig One Touch drive without any problems. Did you also power down/up the disk drive?
At the beginning when everything seems to have been working, that is what happened. After sending the file(s) to the EHD, they were no longer on the internal HD.Ron Barry said:Hmmm something is not right here. It seems to be working now. The only check I've made so far is that I was able to successfully delete one of the programs now on the EHD (which I could not do). I'll try moving more programs from the internal to the external later this evening.jwjensen356 said:I'm not sure if I did. I'll give it a try.
Just to confirm. All is working as it should be working.jwjensen356 said:It seems to be working now. Not sure what the trick was. This is what I did; removed power from the EHD for a good 15 seconds or so and plugged it back in. I did a check and found that the drive was not being recognized. I then pulled the plug of the receiver for about 15 seconds and plugged it back in. After the boot-up and the TV picture came back I checked for the USB drive and it was recognized. Using the Manage Drive function I was able to delete a program. I'm sure it is back to normal.
Thanks for the suggestion of powering down the HD.
