It will automatically switch to whatever tuner it needs to to allow you to watch tv. It doesn't really matter what tuner you are watching or recording on since there is only one live buffer. If you are recording 1 thing and want to change what tv channel you are watching..change the channel. The unit will automatically handle which tuner is doing what.
Can't watch SAT2?
Can I assume that there is no way to actually watch what is on SAT2 since there is no current dual live buffer on the HR20?
What I am trying to say, is SAT2 only currently used for recording and really for nothing else right now?
If I am recording something that I am currently watching, how do I get this channel to move to SAT 2 so I can watch SAT1 and change the channel to something else and leave it recording that same channel/program? OR if I am recording a program and change the channel, will the HR20 automatically switch the recorded program/channel to SAT2, keep recording the same channel/program, and let me change the channel to something else (using SAT1)?
Don't know how to ask what I am thinking without it sounding confusing, but maybe you can tell what I am trying to ask..
