Does anyone have a HDD from this company? I've never heard of it so I'm not sure if it's worth buying. It sounds like a great deal though. 1TB for just $150.

I've had to return mine three times in that last 12 months. If I could do it over again, I would've never purchased it.

My fourth unit is now working, but I don't know for how long. Plus, my year warranty is almost over, so if it fails this time, I'm out of luck.

I'd purchase something else, if I were you.
Have had 2 for a long time, one over a year with no problems
I've had this drive connected to my HR21-700 for several months now. No problems whatsoever.

Sounds like Guitar Hero may have "lucked into" a bad batch of drives.
Three bad ones in four weeks. Gave up RMAing them as Cavalry (Bason Computers) kept sending bad ones.

Took the drive out and put it in an Antec MX-1 and all has been fine for three months.

I bought my Cavalry from Buy.com and their is some speculation they are selling used stuff. All the drives came came in crummy brown boxes with the cables tossed in with a xeroxed instruction sheet.

I've had one up and running for almost a year and haven't had any problems at all with it. I as I understand things the HD is actually manufactured by Western Digital and is a "green" power saving version. I got a real good price, something like $169 delivered from Buy.com. It came with both esata and USB cables. I give it a "thumbs up" especially at $150.
To avoid confusion, can we agree on the following usage:

HDD = Hard Disk Drive
HD = High Definition
I'm using a 500 GB version for my EHD for a Dish Network 622 and have had no problems. I can't remember when I activated it, but it's been close to a year, I think. I especially like that it has an on/off toggle in the back.
