I always wondered why dish network has so much trouble with getting along with their partners? It seems like every month there is a station that wants more money from them. You don't hear much about this with Cable TV and DirecTV. The attorneys for Dish seem to always piss off everyone when it comes to price? Att left them because? They dumped Voom and so on. We all heard about TiVo.

And yes I know Att is saying they dumped them because they have U-verse.

Is it Dish or your local station? Consider that Dish is carrying the other major networks, just not KRCG. So is it Dish or that ONE network in your area? Dish recently came to terms with LIN broadcasting, one of the toughest station owners to come to terms with. The local cable company came to terms with our local LIN owned station only a few days before they were gonna be pulled from the lineup.

This is not Dish. This is CBS. They tried pulling this a few months ago here in Orlando with Brighthouse Networks. The general manager of the local CBS station did editorials and had comments on the station's website that the cable company was going to shut off CBS, when it was CBS giving them a deadline to pay more money or not retransmit their signal.

Seems Dish is the only provider with a problem here. Cable and DirecTV are still onboard.

Right now OTA or switching providers seems the best bet for any Dish user in the area.

This is just like 'Voom', 'MLB', 'CourtTV' and 'WE'. The last two were resolved but 'Voom' and 'MLB' are gone. Dish just does not know how to make a sit and win deals. :nono2:

No wonder Directv and Cable are more expensive (for me, at least). Their statements are ridiculous. If you ask me, if a station broadcasts OTA for free, cable and sat should also get it free. Yeah, Dish charges $5, which might be excessive, but I suspect much of that has to go toward infrastructure, such as E10, miles of fiber, and regional uplinks. Yeah, the change might be pennies per sub per month, but multiply that out, and the numbers get big. This is extortion, plain and simple. Also, no one knows if they are asking (or getting) the same from Directv or Cable.

I don't know if you saw my previous post. It is not just DISH. CBS is the one with the problem.

From my previous post:

The general manager of the station here in Orlando was posting things on their website making it sound like Brighthouse was just cutting them off and that customers should leave Brighthouse and sign up with Dish. I'll bet when the time comes around to renew their contract with Dish, he'll do the same thing to them.
