CBSHD 9484 on 148 is Gone

I discovered this evening that 9484 CBSHD is missing from my guide on both my 811 and 622.

I still receive it on 129, but I was wondering whether this may be a problem with my account alone or whether E* removed it for everyone. My other duplicate channels that appear on 148 (HBOHD and SHOHD) are still there.

Thanks,

Skates

And 9483 WCBSHD from 61.5 is no longer in my guide for my 921.
CBS HD is gone for me also......now I have a question. Dish charged me $179.00 for a DP44 switch in April so that I could receive CBS HD from 148 (that is the only channel I get on 148) I wonder if they are going to refund my $$$$ now?
Could this be because they consider this feed to be their "distant nets" feed, even though for me it's my local CBS network?
NY is my local dma as well. the CBS-HD feed I had well before the HD Lil's were added is gone from both my 622 and 921. The 63xx channel is still on on my 622. Seems like part of the distant shutoffs.
These are considered distant nets. I had an HD waiver for the from my local and this AM and CBS HD NY 9483 is gone. I had spoken to E* and had been told that it would be gone today. So now I have an HD system w/ less HDTV. I have contacted http://www.mydistantnetworks.com to see if they are going to offer HD's. Right now all they are offering is SD which I do not qualify to receive. If you are to be getting "local" CBS HD it should be channel 5846 KCBS for the left coast and 5827 for E coast.
After poking around on some of the other threads, I see now that this was part of the distants shutoff. It's more of an inconvenience for me, nothing more. I get the same channel on 129, but the signal is far superior on 148. My recordings on 129 always have pixilation and stuttering audio problems. I also have it OTA.

I've been toying with the idea of disconnecting 129 from my Dish1000 and swinging the dish pointed at 148 over to 129 to get a better signal - might be time to revisit that.

The single dish should give you better results than the D1000.

The signal that I was getting on 148 was GREAT compared to 129 but I think that the channel on 148 is a different channel number used for distants only. If that is the case it may not be available anymore.
I have a dish 300 pointed at 129 in the SFO Bay Area and have never had a problem with the 129 signal.

It was in this forum that it was said to be a private feed not a DN feed.

This is my DMA area, so why did I lose this channel?

I'll bet you can get it on the 129 satellite: KCBS DT 60 (CBS) Los Angles KCBS 6307 10 129° E*5 Local - LA (6*)(DD)

Can someone verify if these channels on 129 are labeled for VIP (mpeg4 receivers)only?

I believe this is so, so still no luck for me. In terms of permission to view, yes, since I have locals on my AT60 package, I have access to them -- but don't have the right type of receivers.

I emailed Dish Network, and they replied immediately. They said because those feeds were designed for DN, they cannot provide them to anyone -- so they cut them off for everyone (even if it is my DMA). I think the logic is not quite clean because under this plan LA (and NY) should have lost their major channels as they are on the CONUS. I guess they better move these channels to a spot soon...
