Does anyone know if it's possible to connect the DIRECTV receiver phone line to a cell phone to make the call to DIRECTV if there is no land line available? I have a Verrizon Razor phone.

You don;t need a connection for the receiver to work, even though it says it in your agreement. The phone line is used for PPV or Tivo viewing habits. If you want order ppv just call or goto the website.

Also your question will get answered much faster if you post it in the right place :D , under general directtv questions

If DirecTv this is the wrong forum.

And yes its possible with a Dish or Directv to make a connection via a cell phone, but the extra equipment needed is prohibitive in most cases. But a few cells are designed to work computer modems and may just make it possible. But in recent years the switch has been away from conventional simulation of a phone line that your modem cannect with to specialized connection or blutooth to a special network, or to wireless adapters for your computer. A think the razor is in this category and will be hard to make work with a conventional modem.
