I have bravely scheduled the game to record on 95. I used the guide to set the recording. I watched it last week with no side effects (hear that sound? It's me knocking on wood).
Thanks! Let's hope. As you know I have had very, very few problems with the box in nearly 10 weeks now...BUT, after watching/recording this game last week, I had to do a red button reset (my first and only) to get my channel changing speed back...and it has stayed at high speed since then. No updates since then, normal use since then, the only thing that (I can identify) that will have changed is this game tonight.tstarn said:I have bravely scheduled the game to record on 95. Ahhhh...such a grand experiment!
N.B. tonight I will be doing something slightly different. I'll be watching a pre-recorded movie with the wife, while the game is being recorded, so I won't be "perfectly" duplicating what I did last week, which was to watch and record the game at the same time, while doing nothing else. I hate to introduce another confounding variable, but I have to keep peace in the family.
I am only watching the game and probably wont be watching the entire thing, Will let ya know if I see any issuehasan said:Last week at the same time as tonight's game, several of us experienced some very bad behavior of our boxes AFTER having watched the HD football game on channel 95.
If anyone besides me watches/records the game, would you please pay special attention to any signficant malfunction that follows the game. Examples include:
1. Very slow channel changing (after the game)
2. A bunch of missed recordings
3. etc.
PLEASE DON'T POST A RESPONSE TO THIS THREAD IF YOU ARE NOT INVESTIGATING THE CH 95 PHENOMEMON!
This is not a thread for "I had something like that happen on Show-HD last night"...quite frankly, I don't care. I'm only interested to see if the problem that was caused by Ch 95 last week is repeatable. Thanks.
Let the games begin!
I will take this time to apologize for my post on the other thread. I am just sick of HDTVfan and his antics. I didn't mean to be too harsh, but you do have that "let's all get along" attitude, and he definitely invites the harsh responses.hasan said:Thanks! Let's hope. Agreed...this is the only problem I am having but I guess this isn't the point of the OP.Barmat said:Can I report Bryant Gumbel as a bug. I have an overwhelming desire to rip my ears off my skull after listening to this guy.
NFL Network has a LONG LONG LONG way to go, to improve their broadcasts.tstarn said:Sounds like someone is squeezing Gumbel's cohones.
I thought the HD feed was very clear/clean, on the upside, for the time I watched.Earl Bonovich said:NFL Network has a LONG LONG LONG way to go, to improve their broadcasts.
Gumble is not the right guy for the job
The "HD" was better then last week... but I mean the overall feel of the "graphics", layout, presentationtstarn said:I thought the HD feed was very clear/clean, on the upside, for the time I watched.
