Change the Remote's Functions

I used to have a cable dvr system that really sucked. The one feature I really loved though and wish the HR20 had, was the ability to turn off my TV, IRD, & stereo amplifier all with the push of one button (and turn them all on with the same button).

I know I can turn off the TV and IRD at the same time with the push of a button, is there any way to add one more item to the list? I do have the stereo amplifier programmed to AV1, but it kind of sucks having to switch to the AV1 to switch off the stereo. Call me lazy, but it was convenient. ;)

It's not possible with the DirecTV Remote. But there are lots of choices of Universal Remotes that would let you do this.

Get a Harmony remote. I have two and love them both.

If you or someone you know has a Sams Club membership and there is one close by, you might see if they have the Harmony 628 (about 50.00) or the next model up at $99.00. I have the 628 and LOVE IT. Controls every device I have in my HT perfectly.
I'm a gadget freak so the Harmony I got yesterday (880) is almost as entertaining as the new TV, HR20 and Yamaha AV receiver it's controlling. :D
