My guess is that the TiVo may not support D*’s alternate IR codes. The H2x should respond to the “00002” as its alternate code. The HR2x’s use “00003”.
Don't know if this will help.BroccoliRob said:I have no problem getting my Tivo Series 2 to change channels using the IR cable if the H20 is set to respond to the remote on the main DirecTV slider position. However, on my second H20 that is set to respond to AV1, the Tivo doesn't know a code that will work. Can anyone help? I already searched here and didn't find anything that worked. I have tried manually 00001, 00002, 00003.Thanks
Maybe I misunderstood, but I though the OP's problem was getting his stand-alone TiVo Series 2 to control the H20 via the TiVo's IR blaster when the H20 is set to use the "secondary" IR codeset.Jhon69 said:
No, you didn't misunderstand, the OP wants the tivo to change channels on the second H20.rudeney said:Maybe I misunderstood, but I though the OP's problem was getting his stand-alone TiVo Series 2 to control the H20 via the TiVo's IR blaster when the H20 is set to use the "secondary" IR codeset.

Nice detective work, that is me. I didn't expect DirecTV to do anything other than point at Tivo, so I found this place as well.Edmund said:No, you didn't misunderstand, the OP wants the tivo to change channels on the second H20.
