I read somewhere on here yesterday (can't find it now) about Channel 492, which is a Weather Channel sub-channel. I can receive it on my basic RCA receiver but it does not appear on the Ultimate TV receiver downstairs. Not even on the Channel List.
I called D* and the rep said that the UTV receiver (RCA) is not "interactive." There are settings for 'i' links and web links in the set-up mode on the UTV. Even the owners manual talks about Web and "I" links. Can someone explain why we can't get interactive links on it?

UTV is interactive (sort of) as it's capable of dialing MSN. Some shows (like CBS' CSI) are interactive and you have to logon to the Internet and go to CBS' Website to be interactive. You can do this with your PC too. The Weather Channel's channel 492 is Wink Interactive (which is different) Wink is an application that only runs on selected D* recv (not UTV)
