Channel 95 - NFL Network HD???

I was checking the forum the other night during the Seahawk game and saw a post about the game being in HD on channel 95. I checked the guide and there it was to my amazement. So I got to watch the rest of the game in HD which was great.

I noticed that night that the guide was listing Cowboys vs Atlanta for Saturday night. I checked today and see that it says "Upcoming: Title not available" for the whole day.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Do they normally play the NFL Network games in HD on channel 95? Why don't we just get the NFL network in HD on channel 212?

Thanks
Clayton

Yes, the games are that available in HiDef are on Ch95. They're not on Ch 212 because that's the standard definition broadcast.
So why would it show the Cowboy game listed on Thursday night as being on, but now shows as "Upcoming: Title Not Available" for the whole day?

It probably is still just some issues with the guide. Two weeks back watching the Steelers game which happened to be recording as I watched, my picture froze for a few seconds inthe 4th quarter. Turns out the guide for channel 95 cleared and went to TITLE NOT AVAILABLE with no warning. That also killed the recording but since I ended up being home it was not a big deal. Sounds like a known issues from some of the other threads, but all in all it is safe to say that the game should be in channel 95 tonight regardless of what the guide says.

It should re -appear as we get closer to game time.
Please correct me if I am wrong! I have noticed 95 and 96 as broadly used Sports HD channels. My local FSNHD, NBA Season Pass, Hocky Package (sorry don't know what its called). NFL Network HD. I think depending on your package and subsciptions sometimes things might get trumped on these channels. I think thats why the guide data is not made possible until nearly gametime. I notice it all the time. It will not show up in the guide until close to gametime.

What is interesting though is the fact that I just set up a manual record on 95 from 8 pm to midnight and it shows up in the "to do" list as "Manual: Cowboys at Falcons". So, if it isn't in the guide (which it wasn't.....I checked right before I set up the manual), how does it know that Cowboys/Falcons is what I'm recording?
I see this game in the guide and tried to hit the record button. The record indicator came on for a second and went away. I tried it several times with the same result. The game does not appear in my to-do list. Then, I tried to setup a Sunday game to record and had the same result. What gives?
I have not seen these NFL games on 95 before so I don't know if this behavior is normal.
I kept changing between 212 and 95 using the 'prev' on the remote and 95 kept coming up blank even 5 minutes into the game. then I went to 96 and channel down and I got the coverage...
I have 108
Channel 95's guide seems quite unstable. I had to do a RBR (red button) for another reason just before kickoff (about 15 minutes) and the recording of tonight's NFL HD game was erased from the to do list. In another thread I reported that I had set up this recording two days ago, but it was erased sometime before this AM then showed up flagged as PPV (!)
Channel 95's guide data is a complete mess. Things appear and disappear regularly.

Don't know why they can't get it right. It is understandable that some things change but the guide data goes away even with programs that are known to be coming up.

Then it is shared with the PPV movies on 98 (why? they show on 98) and that messes up the guide even more as it switches from PPV to non-PPV.

Guide seems to be linked to the broadcast of the channel. When it's on the air guide data does appear, signed off no guide data.
i can't believe i just saw this thread and this is the first i knew about this. i've been watching this entire game on 212 and i flip it to 95.......tada...hd.
If you have an HR10 use it to see what's on channel 95 because it's more reliable than the HR20. The guide in the HR20 sucks IMO.

It came up good on my HR20. Game looked great too! High score.

I believe I have figured out the cause of this. When I learned the record button on my Universal Remote, I may have held the button down too long. This seemed to affect shows that do not have a series link option more than others. I re-learned the button and have not had the problem since.
