Why do channel numbers for locals all have -00 at the end in the guide. This is for both SD and HD even when both exist.

As a secondary question can the 2nd and 3rd HD local channels be viewed?

This is on a HD DVR 722.

This is on a HD DVR 722.

Example: Local channel 10

HD 010-00 Local channel 10 via satellite receiver in HD if it exists
010-00 Local channel 10 via sat receiver in SD if it exists

010-01 Local channel 10 viewed via an over the air antenna
and scanned into your sat receiver. Usually in HD.
010-02 Local OTA subchannel if it exists
010-03 "" if it exists

That explains it. It requires an over the air antenna plugged into the box to see the 0x channels.
