I currently have 2 HD receivers and 2 SD DirecTivo units with a WB68 multiswitch. I don’t have any Whole Home DVR or Video on Demand features.
I am planning on ordering an HR34 and another HR2X DVR very soon. The plan is to deactivate the 2 SD DirecTivo units but keep the 2 HD receivers active.
It is my understanding that the HR34 will require a SWM and then the only other thing I would need would be some DECA’s and I would have all the equipment necessary for Whole Home DVR. I also think that by plugging an Ethernet cable into the HR34 I could use that as a bridge to my home network and that would allow me access to Video on Demand. So I would not need the Cinema Connection Kit.
That sound about right?
