I just started receiving the Albany, NY local HD channels. Right now there are only 2, channel 10 (WTEN- ABC) and channel 13 (WNYT- NBC). They are both spotbeamed, I am getting channel 10 no problems, channel 13 I get great audio, but every show is choppy all the time, not pixalated at all, just choppy. Is there a reason for this? Is there something I can do to fix this? Am I alone?

Thanks in advance.

I've had a similar problem with my OTA locals from day one. For me, however, it's not all the time - mostly on sporting events, and always (so far as I've seen) on a 1080i channel. Happens a lot on close-ups or higher-speed shots (pans and zooms) where there is a lot of information to process. Seems as though the OTA bitrate is too much for the receiver to handle - the video gets choppy, but the audio remains fine. That being said, I would thing that E* would compress the signal of the local channel from the satellite the same way they do with the nationals, so I can't imagine it would be the same problem. My locals (Lansing, MI) just came on this week, but I haven't gotten around to getting the wing sat. for 61.5, and since I can get them OTA, I'm not sure it's worth it.

I guess, in short, I have no helpful information for you. Sorry for the wasted post. :)
