Just saw an ad on one of the Cinemax Channels that said that all Cinemax channels would be HD on Sept 1. Don't know what if anything this means to DirecTV, but Cinemax is claiming they will be the first to go all HD.

Now if only Cinemax actually put different movies on every now and again. Seriously, how many times are you gonna watch Transformers before you get bored.

For whether or not this will affect DirecTV, it really won't unless they decide to pick up the other Cinemax channels.

I can see this happening for a lot more channels and networks...things will change in the next 6 months since February of next year is looming. Do you wonder how many TVs will be sold over this holiday season?

Well let's ask Satelliteracer if we can rush down to our local hallmark to buy cards for Sept 3rd.

How bout it SR, next week??? I'm trying to plan a vacation, could have an impact.

Probably not looking good for HBO but how about other nationals? Maybe Cinemax?
