I was having the problem where my recordings were starting and stopping about a minute early. I read someone's suggestion here to change my time zone from Pacific (Auto) to simply Pacific.
What an improvement!
Thanks for the tip!
And for any of you having the same problem, give it a try.:hurah:

I am curious about the reasons why changing this setting improves the time function. I have similar issues with some programs but not all of them.

It's a temporary fix. The HR20's clock drifts, and changing the setting just causes it to re-acquire the correct time.
I'm wondering why they just don't sync it with the system time on a periodic basis?

If thats the case, now it makes me wonder why theres so much drift in between.
Probably poor quality components. It happens in computers all the time. Some motherboards just come with really bad clocks, and they drift like mad. Windows XP syncs the clock every week by default though, so that helps mitigate most problems. I personally have all of my computers set to sync every 5 minutes, but I'm really anal about having the correct time. :)
