Is it possible to pass the close captioning data thru a 722 to the monitor? My new ViP722 seems to hijack the captioning data, and not pass it thru. The monitor I use, a Samsung 52A650 has a nice provision for turning the close captioning data on and off with a press of a button. But after connecting it via the HDMI connector, the monitor says "No data present" when attempting to activate the captioning. The procedure to turn it on and off on the 722 is really cumbersome.

None that I am aware of. As far as I understand it there is no way to pass closed caption through HDMI or Component so the receivers have to do it themselves.
