The final run of The Closer arrives Monday night 7/9.
Yippie! Brenda and the gang make the summer heat bearable.

Now as for that show that follows it - Perception - hmmm, Eric McCormack is such a hammy actor and the previews don't look all that great. But I'll give the pilot a chance...

got timers set for both, although like you, I'm not sure at all about Perception.

I'll give it a chance, but the previews haven't floated my boat at all! :)

I never watched it, but didn't NUMB3RS on CBS also follow a similar premise?
There's also the upcoming CBS Sherlock Holmes series...

No, NUMB3RS was a mathematics professor who helped his brother, who was an FBI agent, solve crimes.

The guy in Perception is a neuroscience professor who sees things, mentally unstable, etc, who is recruited by the FBI. Close, but not quite.

Never miss a Closer episode and am looking forward to Perception.
Like so many others, I was not thrilled with The Closer at first but I sat down one evening while it was in the middle of season 3 and really enjoyed the episode. After that time, I was hooked. I immediately went back and watched every episode up to that point and have not missed a single episode since.

So how were Closer and Perception? I'm hoping to watch at least Closer tonight and maybe Perception this weekend.

"The Closer" episode was fine. Obviously since these are the last six episodes, they'll make it interesting.
Agree... I still like the Closer, and I stuck to me "naaah" on the other show. I like the two leads, but I already watched Monk, still watch Psych, and already mostly passed on the Mentalist.. only so much of the "defective detective" premise can I watch and still have it be fresh.

Meanwhile... on a related note... tonight during Rizzoli & Iles and Franklin & Bash, they showed a little bit of a promo for "Major Crimes"... granted, it was mostly Closer clips... it leads me to believe that a lot of the regulars from Closer will be carrying over.
