It's hard to see how this could be a Receiver problem, especially with so many different ones. This is much more likely a TV problem. Is this happening on the same TV, or different TVs?
3 different TV's. All doing the same thing. That is what has me so puzzled.litzdog911 said:It's hard to see how this could be a Receiver problem, especially with so many different ones. This is much more likely a TV problem. Is this happening on the same TV, or different TVs?
Is there a switch? If so, disconnect it and hook up one line straight through and see if the color improves.GregStanfield said:3 different TV's. All doing the same thing. That is what has me so puzzled.
Did that. It turned out to be a bad D-10 that was backfeeding over the line to the switch. Discovered it through hit or miss troubleshooting. Never seen one do that before. Replaced it with a D-11 refurb and the problem went away.saxon2000 said:Is there a switch? If so, disconnect it and hook up one line straight through and see if the color improves.
I think you mean through the logical process of elimination as opposed to 'hit or miss troubleshooting.'GregStanfield said:Discovered it through hit or miss troubleshooting..
Greg
Actually, the thanks goes to one of my technicians who did not give up. Even when DTV Tech support could not figure it out. I think the guys out in the field don't get the credit they deserve for a job well done.saxon2000 said:I think you mean through the logical process of elimination as opposed to 'hit or miss troubleshooting.'
