I have to work on Sundays, so I recorded the Colts-Vikes 1PM game. The guide data stated 1-5:30 PM, and I extended the recording an additional 1 1/2 hours.

At about 2:49 into the recording it ends with about 5:00 left in the game. What's up with this? I missed the best part of the game!

Anyone else have this issue?

I have an HR20-700. :( :(

I recorded the game with no problem. I had to delete a few things so we wouldn't fill up our DVR. It's very easy to fill up one of those things.

As a side note, we were having weather issues here in Indiana due to Hurricane Ike. When our local CBS station would put up weather advisories, the game would switch from HD to SD. It would take a couple of minutes to switch back after the weather advisory would go away. Any clue as to why they do that?

I think I know what happened. My local CBS affilliate must have picked up the game, thus causing it to be blacked out on the Sunday Ticket channel.

The DVR searched for the alternate channel and found it, although none of the extra settings, such as the time extension took hold, so at 2:59, the recording ended, because the local channel had the game from 1PM to 4PM in the guide on the local channel.

Aren't blackout rules for ST supposed to be waived unless the team playing on your local channel is in your local market, which in my case would be the Ravens or Redskins?

Why would the Colts be blacked out in Baltimore, all unnessary comments aside?

CBS Baltimore did carry the Viks/Colts game. And usually Directv can NOT keep up w/ local channels switching from this game to that game so it shouldnt be a blackout issue w/ that. But the game SHOULD of been blacked out from the beginning w/ WJZ carrying it for Baltimore market folks. *shrug* Dc didnt get an early cbs game w/ the skins playing at home so if your in the 'dc' market, ST would not of blacked it out. *shrug* again.

Yes, but the problem was we didn't realize that. We thought it was recording the D* channel which was extended timewise. The time extension did not switch over to the new channel, thus when the game ran past 4:00, the recording ended. Maybe that's a feature D* could possibly look into.

Bummer!

I'll know better to check the local channels first next time.
