Columbia, SC HD Locals

Take it for what it's worth, but I just spent some time with a CSR (to replace 2 defective HR-21s). I asked her about locals, she looked something up, and said that a tower is being constructed in Columbia (I assume the receive facility) that should be complete in the next several weeks. HD locals would follow a matter of weeks after that.

That would be excellent news, indeed.

I hope she is right!
Amen Brother! With OTA I either get WIS and WLTX, or WACH never all three and I cant get WOLO at all.
Well, talked to another CSR last night about something else. Asked about locals again, just because I was already on the phone. After a hold time of about 5 minutes, I was told that there are no plans for Columbia, SC HD locals.

So I don't know what to believe, but I'm leaning towards the bad news. I know a few other cities of similar size are also in this boat, but it's unreal that every other market in SC (all but Greenville of substantially smaller size) has HD locals now. Very very disappointing - so much so that I actually have to think about other options.

I talked to a CSR late last week, and she said the same thing: there are no current plans for HD locals.
