Can you beleive that Comcast is advirtizing on their website that they have SPT Channel with 140 soccer games of the Portuguese League,that's a lie because only Dishnetwork Carries the portuguese soccer games,i know they have Spt but only regular Sic programing and at game time normaly on weekends Comcast Spt does't get the games.i wonder why a reputable campany like Comcast is trying to mislead customers,
Here is what is in there site;

SPT delivers live television programs from the leading Portuguese network in Portugal, SIC International. SIC International retransmits its signal to all the Portuguese communities throughout the world. Programming highlights include family entertainment shows, news broadcasts, and sporting events. SPT also has exclusive rights to broadcast all games from the Portuguese Soccer League (SuperLiga) in the U.S. featuring over 150 games throughout the season. In addition, SPT provides local programming targeted to the Portuguese community living in the United States.

For more programming information call Comcast at 1-800-266-2278.

While I know nothing about this particular ad, misleading ads from Comcast are nothing new. They used to have one that claimed satellite TV customers had to constantly re-align their dishes. It showed some poor guy climbing around on his roof.

All that said, Comcast took over our local cable service last spring, which was my internet broadband service. The transition went fairly smoothly. Their CSR was excellent, and patient, in dealing with the one problem I had. And the service so far has been very good. I'm happy with their internet service. I just don't want their cable TV. Quite happy with DISH, which I've had over 10 years.

You're lucky you had good service with Comcast. I moved into my current house 3 1/2 years ago and comcast was basically the only high speed isp. It took them 3 months to get my service finally working consistently.

Several months ago, Comcast contacted me and offered me basic TV service for $5/month for a year. In addition, they would bump my internet speed to 16Mbps and the package would cost me $12/month less than my current charges. I set up an appointment. No one showed. I called Comcast and they didn't show anything on their records. I checked my phone call list and it was Comacst that called. They made me the offer again, apologized and gave me a $20 credit. I made another appointment. No one showed. I called again and they said someone cancelled the work order. Nice. They apologized again and gave me a free month. I made another appointment. This time they did show. Removed a barrel filter from my line and that was that.

I COULD HAVE DONE THAT. This process took the better aprt of two months. Meanwhile, my billing had changed from the very first date that no one knew about.

The only plus is that the major area line tap is in my front yard. Speed tests put me at about 23MBps down in the off hours, with 3.5Mbps up. Pretty sweet. Still, they area bunch of bozos a lot of the time.
