Connect Both Tuners to 1 Display???

I've had 622 for a few months.

I have 2 displays, so I generally keep the receiver in dual mode, meaning I cannot use the receiver's pip. My primary display has stand-alone pip and several inputs. I'd like to connect both of the receiver's DBS tuners to this primary display, on separate inputs (and perhaps even the OTA tuner as well).

Before I purchase a cable and go about fishing it through my wall, I'd like to know if this can be done? As it stands now, Tuner 1 (and OTA) go to the primary display via HDMI. Tuner 2 goes to the secondary display via coax. I do not want to disco the secondary display, but also run a cable from Tuner 2 to the primary display (via RCA outputs).

Any comments/suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Well you need to think of it more like TV1 and TV2.. not tuner 1 and Tuner 2 since there is no such thing as a OTA output on the 622.

There is a 622 composite output on the 622 that you could hook up to your TV1 and be able to see what is on TV2 and what is on TV2. However the composite quality will be nothing like your component or HDMI output.

There is no way to get HD outputs for both TV1 and TV2.

Thank you Ron Barry!

So, if I get a set of regular RCA a/v cables and connect to the TV 2 output and primary display, TV 2 feed will still go to the secondary display? I know it would be same feed on both displays, but at least it gives the option of PIP on primary display in dual mode.
Yes you will get TV2s output signal into TV1, however, TV2 is controlled by TV2s remote so I am not sure how much value that would buy you.

Oh... and by the way... I forgot to say :welcome_s. It is always nice to see a new face around.

Thank you for the reply and the welcome.

Is there a way to rig Remote 1 to control TV 1 and TV 2? Is that not a proper question for this forum.
TV2 is controlled by RF while TV1 is controlled by IR so there is now way that I know of to control TV2 using TV1s remote. You can however use TV2s remote to control TV1 if you are running single mode.
You could also use a simple coax splitter to split the TV2 modulated output to both of your displays instead of using the RCA connection.
It sounds like you're going to have your system setup the way I have mine. I have my 622 set to dual mode. TV1 out goes to the primary (HDTV) via the HDMI cable. TV2 RCA cables goes to the same primary (HDTV) television for my PIP. I also have the coax cable going back into the wall for redistribution through the house. TV1 = channel 25, TV2 = channel 30 for all the other TV's in the house. This is a great setup for me. I just wish, like everybody else, that the TV1 remote could also be used to control TV2. This would be great because, in my own opinion, the PIP functions on the 622 suck at this time. I use my Mitsu's TV's PIP functions rather than the 622's. I'm waiting for the side-by-side setup to become available like DN has talked about. If it still sucks at that point, I plan to just purchase an additional TV2 remote from DN and continue to use the PIP functions of the TV.

If there are any universal remotes out there that will do TV1 and TV2 for the 622, they're out of my price range! I quit looking when I got to remotes that ran about $250.

You can always go on Ebay and buy another used remote for as little as $8 or $10 to put in the main room. I know this adds yet another remote, but it is the cheep way to go. There are a bunch of older remotes that will work as the secondary UHF, but I can't remember exactly which ones.
