I want to connect my DVR to the internet so I can use the On Demand service. I don't presently have a router as I only have one PC. I also have AT&T DSL internet service. I can use a wired router as my DVR is close to my PC. What kind of wired router will I need that is compatible with DSL and DirecTV?
Thanks, Sam

Assuming your DSL modem does not already have one built in, just about any wireless or non-wireless router will work. Just plug the router into the DSL modem, and the PC and DVR into the router. Turn on the router, and it should be up and running.

If you get a wireless router, make sure you enable the security mode, so passers-by cannot use your internet connection.,
